For some brides finding the perfect dress can be an unexpectedly demoralising process. Film and TV makes us think it will be a magical moment but sometimes the reality just doesn't live up to it, especially with so much pressure on women today to look "perfect". One thing we recommend is to have one or two "secret" appointments first without family or friends in attendance. This may seem counterintuitive but sometimes the opinions of others, as well-meaning as they are, can be confusing or overwhelming. We can make and attend appointments with you if you wish, acting as an advocate and negotiator for you, a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold, a cheerleader and a friend. Our level of involvement can be as much or as little as you are comfortable with.
